Start small. For a smaller area such as a wrist, hand, elbow, or knee, start with roughly a pea-sized amount. For a larger area such as your shoulder, lower back, thigh, or calf, start with roughly a dime-sized amount. Massage it thoroughly into the area. If you need more coverage, add a little at a time.

Scoop out a small amount and massage it directly into the desired area until evenly distributed. Give the butter a moment to absorb before putting clothing directly over the area. For external use only. Not intended for human consumption. Avoid eyes, mucous membranes, and broken or irritated skin. Wash your hands after application unless your hands are the area being treated.

It is formulated to maintain a smooth, stable consistency under normal conditions, but natural butters may soften when warm and become firmer when cool. If the jar gets very warm during shipping, in a hot vehicle, or in direct sunlight, the butter may soften significantly or melt. Ginger’s Recovery Butter is a whipped product—air is incorporated to create its light, fluffy body. If it fully melts, that air is lost. The butter will firm back up once cooled, but it may have a denser texture and look slightly different. Keep the container closed and upright, move it to a cool, dry place, and briefly refrigerate if needed. The product is still perfectly usable.

Store Ginger’s Recovery Butter at a comfortable room temperature in a dry location away from direct sunlight, heaters, and other heat sources. Do not leave it in a hot vehicle. Refrigeration is generally not necessary during normal storage.
